We advise you with regard to documentation prepared by the other side.
We assist you as the case progresses and advise you with regard to offers of settlement and procedure at court hearings.
We can prepare draft orders, in particular clean break consent orders.

Represent you at court or attend court with you.
Negotiate on your behalf other than advising you about a possible settlement.

Full representation

Unless we undertake work on a fixed fee basis or a pay as you go basis, then our charges are calculated on an hourly rate.
This includes work on the file including correspondence, telephone attendances, preparation of documents and negotiations.

Our hourly rates depend upon the status of the lawyer who deals with your matter. These vary from £120 per hour for a paralegal to £200 per hour for Susan Taylor, the principal of the practice.

When you instruct us, we will provide you with an estimate of our costs and expenses including valuer’s fees.

Payment plan

We require an initial payment on account of £500 and if proceedings are ongoing or you ask us to take over a file from another solicitor, payment is £1,000.
Most clients prefer to set up a monthly standing order rather than pay upon receipt of the invoice. We can discuss how you want to pay your fees once you instruct us.
